What is the reason for the rupture of the quartz bowl

Although quartz bowls have a certain strength, we still need to be careful during use, especially during sintering. If we cannot grasp it correctly, transverse cracks are prone to occur during use. First of all, we should know what causes the rupture?
1. Improper melting method: After the upper silicon material is melted and flows to the bottom of the quartz box bowl, a "secondary" crystallization phenomenon occurs due to the low temperature at the bottom, causing the quartz box bowl to swell and crack.
2. After flipping the material at the bottom, there is a leakage of silicon: it adheres to the container and melts into a liquid, causing excessive buoyancy and causing the unmelted blocks to detach from the container, breaking the quartz container.
3. Raw material issues in the production of high-temperature resistant quartz boxes: Excessive impurities in the raw materials, or contamination during cleaning and filling, can corrode the quartz boxes and, in severe cases, lead to infiltration of molten silicon.

4. The firing temperature of the kiln is too high, and if it reaches or exceeds this high temperature, the phenomenon of interruption will significantly increase.
5. When producing products of other larger specifications, the heavier the product, the wider the kiln, the wider the roller span, and the faster the roller speed, the higher the probability of interruption in the quartz box bowl roller.

7. Severe corrosion. Due to the long-term operation of the roller rod in the kiln, it is affected by the kiln pressure, kiln atmosphere, and corrosive gases of the fuel. The roller rod has a certain service life. Generally, after more than two months of use, the strength of the roller rod will gradually decrease, and interruption may occur under load. This type of broken rod is mainly characterized by uniform fracture surface, loose fracture surface, and colored surface of the fracture surface, which are corroded and cause intermediate fracture.
8. The installation of the quartz box bowl is incorrect. When installing a new quartz box bowl, if the refractory soil is squeezed tightly under the nozzle of the box bowl, the box bowl will be cooled and shrink, and the stress points will be concentrated in most parts, causing cracks.
9. Caused by the impact of hard objects.
10. If the clamp is placed on a slag or unsuitable quartz bowl base and subjected to excessive force, cracks will appear on the surface of the quartz bowl that is not under the clamp.
11. In addition, thermal expansion may cause such damage.
